Day 22 · Shop

A window to the staircase brings some light into the old workshop. Never enough to light the work properly, but plenty to find the light switch when needed. This is the proper place to be when winter kicks in. It's almost like Santa's place, only the elves are missing, although electrical tools fill the gap pretty well. Only one more week left until decorating the house for X-mas season is due.

Limit #22
Decorating Life

As the double wall protects the workshop from the snowstorm going on, it doesn't protect the worker's mind from creating stunning decoration to make the neighbors envious. Instead of sharing scarce time with the family and inviting neighbors, raising just another wall of short living glory keeps the DIY professional going.

Lovely how that view if framed again and again by all those different surfaces. Great idea, and well seen. I like this a lot

Cool shot! I'd recommend chopping off a little of the left (maybe closer to the screw head) to give this a better diagonal take (personal opinion only of course).

Thanks for the hint -- I'm trying this later when I'll put it to print.

Smart move to use the word shop for workshop. Most of us are conditoned to think of a place where you buy stuff ;)
First snowstorm of the season? At first glance I thought it was a framed photo on the wall. Now I know it's a wintermood view from the window.

In the boonies I have no shop which opens on Sundays to be photographed :)

Great job using a workshop instead of a traditional shop. I like how all the square corners stack into each other and lead the eye to the little picture of the trees inside them all. Like stacking cups or Russian dolls.
