Day 07 · Measures

Walls aren't necessarily beauties, and most walls simply don't care. They do a tough job, hence they look tough. But people like to please the eye, and roughness isn't exactly what one is usually looking for. If walls don't look neat and charming, one has to take measures.

Limit #7
Superficiality rules

Tiling the roughness is one possible way to get walls look more friendly. It's not only the slick and shiny surface of the tiles, they're also easy to clean. And there is one more thing: the orderly effect of even distances pleases any eye.

Beautiful side lighting in this, I love that shadow. The tiles are very well chosen for this, they enhance the thought of water and add a liquid quality to the wall that contrasts the dry fell of the wall beside it. Very effective :)

I love the contrast between the dry wall and the wet looking tiles. The composition is lovely, and the shadow tops everything off. I really like this one!

Great lighting and shadows for an effective graphic composition. Love all the squares and shapes to patch together in a quilt-like effect overlaid with the tap and shadow. Nice one.

To me, the shadow of the tap is what makes the image.

The tiles look like a big pool of water ready to run out of the tap. Very nice shot with the textures, shapes, shadow and light

Small tiled area around the tap is a good find. But The shadow of the tap is what creates the image from "a wall" to A Wall.
